how to adopt?
If you want to adopt you must follow the requirements, and come to our Zona Michi to meet the cats. Hopefully you can create a positive connection with one of them in the best case, then you must fill out our Adoption Form; This form authorizes us to sporadically follow up on the adopted cat, and even to be able to relocate it if necessary.
In the case of kittens under 5 months, you must also fill out the Sterilization Commitment. Part of our mission is to reduce feline overpopulation by spaying / neutering all the cats we support. When adopting with us, sterilization is NOT optional, but mandatory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be over 21 years old.
- Photo of your ID, and electricity or water bill.
- Stable job / income.
- Neccesary space for the cat, and accesories inside the house.
- Before the adoption, you must acquire the basics for a new / additional cat: bowls, litter box and sand, scratcher (check out our homemade scratcher tutorial) and carrier. Remember the # 1 rule at home: a litter box per cat.
We will coordinate the date of your adoption with you.
Single Adoption fee: s/. 60 Nuevos Soles.
Double Adoption fee: s/. 100 Nuevos Soles.
This fee helps us cover the Veterinarian protocol applied to the cats: veterinary check, dewormed and treated for fleas, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered (if the cat is not sterilized yet, it will be pending to coordinate when it turns 5 months).
Covering an adoption fee shows responsibility from the adopter, adding a cat to the family incurs care, and basic expenses such as food, supplies and periodic veterinary visits. Part of our mission is to avoid that an adoption based only on a human impulse, without analyzing all the factors involved.
After we complete your Adoption you will receive a Cat ID and a Digital Certificate for you:
